4X4 Cutting In

Featured Replies

Hi I am new to the forum and wonder if anyone can answer this problem for me. I fitted 2 new Pirrelli Scorpion Assimetricco tyres to the rear 200 miles ago, they are Pirrelli Scorpions on the front but not Assimetricco and have about 3mm left on them. The prob is that on certain tight corners the 4x4 light is coming on and it sounds almost as though the ABS is cutting in to the rear wheels. Is it the type of tyre I have fitted or the differential between the size of the new/old tyres that is causing this? Any ideas before I start to spend even more money on tyres? Many thanks

Hi mate welcome to BMWOC have you had a read up on the downers manual it might give you a clue look under the 4 wheel drive and recommended tyre section

That's the owners manual not the downers manual :-)

Maybe a good idea to introduce yourself AND your car in the New Member section B)
