Ive been told that the car battery i have is to small its a 70ah and i should have a 100ah, but wouldnt BMW have fitted a 100ah already if the car needed one.

Also as long as i buy a 100ah one that fits should that be ok, or does it have to be a special one.

    The bigger the better... But have a look on the battery for its "Cranking Rate" think it should be 650+ ideally for a diesel (this is the power it uses to the starter), but I'll look into it...

    Don't confuse the battery ampage (Ah) with the cranking rate.

    ... And don't go too big on the battery ampage as the alternater has to charge it AND run the car too !!

    TBH Ive got the biggest battery that fitted the space for it.....an 017 with 95ah and just under 900 cranking amps,does the job,luvely jubbley :)

    When it arrives im fitting a final heater resister, so hopefully that will help cure the flat battery issues i keep getting.
