After going over the new 330 checking every little thing, ive found that the drivers door window has a bit of play in it(side to side), does anybody know how i can fix this.

Thx

Runners might need replacing easy enough just take the door card off

It goes up and down fine, but when the doors open and you hold the glass between your thumb and four fingerit movers side to side more than the passenger side, i didnt know if i could tighten it somewhere.

Being a 330 ci it doesnt have window frames.

OOPS... I think it is the Body frame rubber then matey...

This rubber is designed to "Slightly push the glass away making a seal...

You could either get a new rubber, hard to get, or...

Try to fill the existing one with silcone ( this would stiffen it up whilst sill being flexible)...

Just an idea!!!

If you try the silicone method -

Splice the rubber at its outer most points... i.e. the extreme outside.

Use a silicone gun and tube to "build the inside of the rubber up a little", not too much.

The window will naturally flex without a pressure point and that pressure is created by the body door rubber when the door closes...

Hope This helps - DAZ

BTW does it rattle when window is halfway down whilst driving?

When i shut the door it raises to make a seal and it doesnt leak, its just when its open it wobbles a bit.

Hmmm Wouldn't bother me as such then because you dont drive with your door open

BUT... Take off the door card and look at the runner anchor points and adjust it by slackening the 10mm bolt until you are satisfied...

Trial and error pal B)

cheers for the info, looks like i having a beemer day Saturday.

No probs, its not really a long job to be honest... Just slacken the bolt and push/pull (Not up/down) the runner till it stops the freeplay... Could even be a 12 or 13 mm mate... Not certain !B)
