sometimes when driving the bm it feels like someone has tied rope on the back and is pulling back on it lol like its lost power and pulling back  then suddenly its fine and takes off! this doesnt happen very often so bit confused as of what it could be, any ideas?

When was your last full service

ummm, Ill ask the lads at work tomorrow for you.

ok thanks bud, this one has got me confused

I have exactly the same problem! Car flew through its MOT with no faults and recently serviced so i have no idea whats going on

This only happens for me when i turn the car on.....if the car takes a while chugging over before it fires up I know its gonna be a nightmare to drive with no power

Turn the car off and on again and it fires up instantly theres no problems after that point

so strange if you find out what it is lemme know!

not 100% but could be the MAF sensor. gives the correct air into the engine i think. not enough air to fuel the car will do this. could be wrong but its a commen thing to go wrong

my money was on air flow meter or is that the same thing?

TBH it doesn't happen half as much when I solely use BP Standard fuel! If i put supermarket tripe in its terrible for a month

Try switching to bp standard for a few weeks might make an improvement?

same thing fella

Mass Air Flow

a little google search shows you can actually clean them with carb cleaner, also says brake cleaner!, id prob go with carb cleaner.

just spray some in while running the engine.

also says if you have a dirty MAF sensor they can be the syptoms described by the OP.

Glad you sorted it man good stuff

This sounds similar to what mine does. Only does it when cold when trying to pull away. I cant get the tutorial link to work so cant see if something I can have a go at before its service :(
