Hello everyone.My names Mike and I have a 2009 318d M Sport.

What are all these e numbers about? The only reference on my documentation is E90. Is this what mine is? and what does that mean anyway?

    i still get confused about all the Es to lol

    my bmw is a e46, it relates to the model year, so evan though its say for mine a three series its changed it style from say the e36 three series

    It explains a lot. Can't believe the fuel economy - averaging 56.1 mpg the way I drive - incredible.

    Very nice article but it doesnt explain why E90 or E46......why not gor E46 then E47 for model names??? hmmm

    and 56.1mpg?!?! YOU MAKE ME SICK =[ lol i get 23mpg around town, rarely do motorway driving anymore =[
