Hi all fitted a new screen to the car from droid UK I've installed and it runs perfectly except the microphone the system uses the cars original Bluetooth for music and phone but gives a cleaner more modern feel and android auto but when making or receiving calls I can hear others but they can't here me! Spoken to Droid UK and sent them all setups and they say it should be working has anyone else used these screens and had same issue and is there a resolution?

I use an Android screen in my E70 X5 and have fitted 5 for others and all work really well. All I can suggest is back track and make sure all connections are secure give them a spray with contact cleaner just to be sure. Then on your phone clear the Bluetooth connection and remake it, Is the connection complete ie. Address book uploaded, all media streaming etc connected ? I have read that some older phones G2 G3 have had problems so how old is your phone and it's Bluetooth chip. If you know someone with a new/newer phone (Android 10 or above) see if they can connect cleanly. If they can't it's back to Droid

Thanks for the advice Dave I haven't had a chance to strip yet and phone is running Android 16 so not a phone issue it will play music via the cars Bluetooth etc as the screen doesn't actually control sound so I mush have either not connected it quite right at the back but strange music will play but in car calls don't?!

OK phone is running Android 16 what is the Droid running can you connect it to home Wifi and check for updates?

Not necessarily a wrong connection just not a clean connection so remaking them after a blast with a good electrical contact cleaner may well be the answer

I spoke to my neighbour (330i Touring) he told me he had some connection issues between his Android screen (brought from Amazon last year) and his Samsung Galaxy which sound similar to your issue, Bluetooth calls would not connect properly or not at all, his wife's Motorola connected fine and she is the main user. He remade the Samsung connection several times apparently then noticed his address book hadn't uploaded (as his wife's address book is similar he hadn't noticed at first) He cleared all connections on the Android unit in the car and the remade the connections to his and his wife's phones. His address book uploaded so did his wife's and both phones have worked ever since he has no clue what he may have done different but everything works even Android Auto
