Have a 2013 520 estate ..F11 i believe model is ...having issue with passenger door lock .. when you use fob or button on dash to open it the button in/on the door pops up and down several times but always returns to locked position !! also can now only open tailgate by using (white) button in car on drivers door post as door catch on tailgate wont open it anymore ... lastly(honest😉) when tailgate opens it only goes up about halfway which im assuming means struts need repairing???? or replacing ... ANY help/advice re how to repair and/or best place get replacement parts (im in Dublin ) would be very much appreciated

Check www.realoem.com put the last 7 digits of your Vin into the search box it will call up your model, then search the sections for the door actuator and boot/tailgate struts note the part numbers. Then search the internet for the best prices.

Changing the boot struts is straight forward with the help of a trusty broom to hold up the tailgate remove some trim to expose the electrical connector and remove them. Changing the door actuator is again a straight forward but the door panel has to be removed take care with the inner membrane don't damage it. A hair dryer or heat gun will help soften the adhesive that holds it in place.
