Hi all,

I got my 2023 320D BMW G21 and all it was ok. but now its making this crazy noise out of the ABS pump. I have no idea whats going on here... Has anyone seen this?

Cheers

Thank you for answering! Yeah and the ABS is always on. The only way to stop it is to remove the battery lead! it already drained my battery once!

Sorry….. welcome Sam! How rude of me.

The abs is always on?

Have you checked for leaks in the pipes?

When you say it’s always on, do you mean the pump or the warning light?

Cheers

Thank you! Glad to be here. No by always on I mean even with the ignition off and doors locked. There are no leaks and the reservoir is full of brake fluid. it's the strangest thing. My friend has a diagnostic tool and he brought it in just now. There was an error code which makes no sense to me.

The code was:

48071C-Permanent-DSC unit: internal, pump, supply voltage

But as you can see it is running no idea what it means by supply voltage :(

Hi Sam

Not sure what Diagnostic you used as I can't find that code ( use ISTA/INPA BMW specific) the only 480 codes I have seen are DPF driven so really odd. As for the ABS you can remove the control unit from the pump (4 Torx Bolts) without removing/disturbing the Hydraulics then send it to someone like ECU Testing who repair them. Before doing that it's worth checking the loom for damage

Hope this helps

Dave
