Hi My rear suspension failed last week and I diagnosed the problem to the a 'sticky' main solenoid ( not the two way block)

I replaced the solenoid and checked it and the compressor  before re- fitting to the car.

Guess what/ The compressor doesn't work as there is s no 12v to the compressor

The fuses (152 and 182) are fine and the relay works when tested 'on the bench'?

Any ideas guys?

Welcome to the Forum

First simple thing is actually change the fuses on my 4.6is the 30a compressor fuse was blown changed it for a (Halfords) 30a no go ? checked everything several times could find no fault swapped it with another 30a fuse everything worked still haven't figured out why?

If the simple doesn't work then it is continuity testing on the 12v feed to find out why a look at a wiring diagram would help if you have access to one

Good Luck

Thanks for your input. I checked the the DC Voltage with a meter on either side of the fuses (152 and 182) on top ,so I know the fuses are good

I also checked the relay 'on the bench' and it's functioning too.

Maybe the car needs a reset with a BMW Diagnostics kit as there is still an icon on the dashboard which will not clear?
