Socket stuck replacing aux belt tensioner

Due to my own stupidity, when removing the aux belt tensioner, I used a socket to get to the awkward bolt behind throttle (instead of waiting for the flexihead spanner to arrive), partially removed it but as bolt undid, socket + ratchet got stuck - well and truly wedged. Changed ratchet to drive bolt back in but can feel it is ripping the thread and pretty much stuck. Cant get to the ratchet head to switch back to anticlockwise to try to correct the cross threading.

Can anyone advise me what I need to remove to release it so I can remove the bolt - and how to do it. The clips and clasps are all different to what I've seen before and struggling to getting anything done here.       Hi all, I hope you are all well! I thought I’d let others know about my positive experience I had with Precision drive near Southend airport. I was recommended by a friend, who had his E90 updated a while ago. I had messaged Chris at precision drive about getting my F36 updated & addition of CarPlay. He replied with the cost & answered any queries I had. Dropped off car & left it with him. I got a call after 1.5hrs to say the whole car had been updated but there was an issue whilst installing CarPlay (he doesn’t yet have dedicated broadband at his workshop, phone tethering wasn’t sufficient) He has kindly offered to come to my house & apply the CarPlay at a later date. It turns out that my cars never had any software updates applied since new! Instantly I noticed the shifts were smoother & engine was quieter. Should anyone else require their cars updating give Chris a message/call (search Precision Drive) I paid £120 for whole vehicle update, £60 to be paid at a later date for CarPlay activation.

      OK, so had the stethoscope test done and yes, water pump had gone. Not a bad life to be fair, 97K mls. New one installed and also had the belt changed as well. Onwards.......

      Yet to take to dealer but looks like there is a software glitch. deleted both my wife’s and my own profile, then reloaded my profile and linked to phone. No problem phone connects perfectly. My wife loaded her profile and linked to her phone, works perfectly for her. however for some reason when I then drive with my profile my phone is no longer linked. If I search with my phone the BMW isn’t shown. If I search with BMW my phone isn’t shown. I can’t connect. now this is the weird bit. If I don’t log in to my profile and instead drive as a guest, press connect phone my phone does show and I can connect. so there is a software glitch on the car. Setting up a second profile on the car for some reason means the first profile’s phone is disconnected but in such a way that the phone doesn’t appear if you do a search on the car and vice versa. However if you change profile to “guest” phone does show and you can connect. my phone is an iPhone 11. I have had no other problems with other cars or blue tooth connections. There is some glitch in the software interface between car and phone. intrigued if anyone else has had this issue.
