Hi

Does anyone know where I can get a steering wheel replacement with a flat bottom and paddle shifters for a 2012 320d I have found a few but not too sure whether they'd be compatible any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Morning Connah

Welcome to the Forum

Not sure what you are trying to achieve here ? If your OEM steering wheel has paddle shifts it should be fairly straight forward swap even though the replacement will probably be Aftermarket. Just make sure you can get support from the seller and they accept returns if it didn't fit

If you don't have paddle shifts there is the small issue of how you can get the shift to work, it will involve loom extensions and programming at least.

If you just want the competition look and are not worried about the operation then it becomes easier

Good Luck

Hi Conmil.

Try Jack at Royal Steering Wheels - albeit they normally will only re-trim and perform cosmetic alterations on customers wheels.

I am not sure about the paddles bit though ! worth a search and an E'mail inquiry.

he did an amazing job on a 1st Generation Mercedes SLK 230 Auto for me a few years back - flattening the bottom and putting thumb grips above the spokes on the wheel.

I had a 2004 registered Face-lift and did not like the huge central boss - the swap was easily carried out and it totally transformed the car.

The steering wheel came from a 1st Generation SLK 230 - the end result is pictured below.
