I don't use smartphones and would like a back-up key with me if I lose the key fob. Anyone have experience with the key cards?

My wife does have an IPhone and planned on using the Digital Key, is it a reliable back up?

It appears I can get a new one and the car seems to be equipped to use both the app and card, ( I bought the car used and there wasn't one with it).

Any known issues etc.

    have used the app to lock and unlock the car, locate the car when the wife has nicked it, send "destinations" to the car before a drive but never tried to drive it without the key, not sure it would start from the app without the key present.

    Well my local dealer has the "Card" for about $45 USD which is acceptable and the app can start your car if it has the option package for remote start that uses the Climate Control settings to start it. Supposedly (haven't try it yet) pushing the "Globe" on our FOB's 3 times should remote start them too.

    I have my window sticker so I know my option package names but have yet to determine what's in each package in any detail.

    The Card will start it, I'm skeptical though!
