My 2011 BMW X1's differential exploded after 50000 miles. BMW kindly covered the cost of parts, and I contributed towards the labour.

Now at 13 years old the transmission has failed. Is it repairable or do a scrap an otherwise good car

Hi Peter

With the X-drive the gearbox is made by ZF so a good Transmission specialist or better yet a ZF agent should be able to fix things.

When was the gearbox last serviced ? Often the gearbox is forgotten
