Charging in idle

Recommended Posts

I use my 2010 320i BMW extensively between July and September but it mostly idle the rest of the time.  I am trying to find a routine to charge it etc.  it has a brand new battery.  At the moment I drive it for 20 min every two weeks.  I do not want to winterriae it because sometimes I need it. Can I drive it for 10 and idle for 10?  Thoughts, ideas would be great.

Morning Alexandra

C-tec make excellent trickle/conditioning chargers I use mine once a month on my moth balled E53 4.6is and my wife's Subaru which see's low use

It is very easy to lift the bonnet and un clip the charger
