I wonder if anyone can advise.
l have E46 330d saloon sport on 80k miles I get an annoying rattle/shudder when I start car and also when I turn off engine.
I had dual mass flywheel clutch etc replaced which was definitely the correct thing to do as they were almost knackered,
but I still have same problem but not as aggressive/bad.

I want to sell above in near future as I don’t use it enough and want problem resolved before I put it on market

cheers in advance

Jake

Hi John

Welcome to the Forum

Who changed the DMF and Clutch and did they change the throw out bearing ??

If your foot is on the clutch does it make a difference?

Have all the heat shields been checked for tightness ?

OK normally any issues with clutch release bearing DMF etc will change with pressing the clutch

Me thinking out loud Things that can cause a shake Engine mounts ? Gearbox mount ? exhaust mounts ? Rattles heat shields and under trays loose

Hope this helps not hinders
