My daughter has a 2014 1series msport when she got the car if she single pressed the unlock button on the fob it unlocked all doors and the boot but for some reason it now only unlocks drivers door only and she has to press unlock twice on fob for all other doors and boot. I have looked in settings and a tick is in the unlock all doors section but it still only unlocks drivers can anyone shed any light on why and how to solve it please.

Morning Gary

You may need the help of someone with ISTA or similar to change the settings through one of the control modules.

Has she changed key or has a new key been added? The driver's door unlock is an anti-hijack device BMW reasoning that if you have passengers two presses isn't too hard to do.

It should be possible to re-program the key/keys I would try that first

I believe she is using the second key not the first key but will try that thanks Dave.
