I have just had my engine bay cleaned in order to locate an oil leak. Turned out it was something to do with the plastic parts attached to the turbo however I have 2 pieces left over that the garage forgot/neglected to put back and I haven't the foggiest as to where they go? Any ideas anyone? Help would be much appreciated.

Morning Paul

Welcome to the Forum

Take a look at www.realoem.com it is an online BMW Parts List put the last 7 digits of your Vin into the search box it will pull up your model, then look in the engine section. Once you find it get the part number in case you need to buy new.

Just had a quick look seems to be part 3 for one of them don't see the other unless it is part of another acoustic panel

      Gear box failure

      Morning all, I'm a new member joining the group because I have read the issues in this thread and am also experiencing the same. Mine is. 220d 2 series active tourer from 2016. I also have play in the drive shaft on the near side and some oil around where the drive come out of the gear box. Mine is the aisin 8 speed. Has anyone collectively contacted BMW regarding this matter. I've heard BMW recalled this gearbox in New Zealand, so there is a precedent.

      Morning Mick Welcome to the Forum First question why not OEM running boards ? You would then know they will fit here are the OEM parts and fixings If you take a look at www.realoem.com put the last 7 digits of your Vin into the search box and it will bring up your model. Then search Body section Once you have all the correct part numbers you can search the Internet for the best supply (remember you need Left and Right parts) You should find parts from BMW Breakers as well as contacting BMW Dealers to see what their prices are like (sometimes a pleasant surprise) Dave

      Running Boards

      Hi I need some help / advice please,I own a very nice 2012 X6 and what I thought would be a simple enhancement want to fit running boards…… Not as easy as I thought the market appears saturated with them so if possible has anyone had aftermarket running boards fitted and could steer me in the right direction

      2017 430d LED headlight beam adjustment for continental.

      Talked to my Brother Inlaw he is on his 6th 5 series estate he said the first 3 (HID) he would switch over as it was so simple, then apparently with the 4th it was a real faff so he never bothered the last two are LED and he has never had an issue and he does most of his mileage in the France Belgium Netherlands Germany and Poland Hope this Helps Dave

      BMW X1 valve cover gasket replacement

      Hi Asif Welcome to the Forum First check to find out where the smoke is coming from, once your sure then make a decision on whether you can (a) DIY or (b) pay a garage. If it is the Garage route then an Internet search for BMW Specialists (there is a Register of BMW Specialists) should bring up a couple at least who are not to far from you. Then talk to them about costs etc Good luck Dave
