Hi, don't know if anyone can help, I have a BMW 2005, module to follow, al I know it has an intermittent problem with the sat nav, which also effects the radio, it sometimes works and sometimes cuts out and everything goes missing, I live in Croydon, don't know if anyone has any ideas on what the problem could be or how to repair ?

Morning Martin

Welcome to the Forum

A diagnostic scan is needed using something like INPA or BMW 1.4.0 as your issue could be with 1 or more of the system components or a failing LCM

If you are a DIY person then I would get a copy of BMW 1.4.0 which you can load onto a Laptop. iI is simple to use and will give Dealer level access and information all scan information is in English so no codes to interpret.

If the fault is with one of the units then it can be repaired (Google) or replaced. Today there are  several replacement systems available that are in fact cheaper than the OEM equipment.

If however it is the LCM failing a replacement can be sourced and contrary to BMW coded to your car (BMW 1.4.0)
