Hi all,

Please could someone offer me some advise on whether this sounds like a faulty steering rack issues or possibly an issue with another component?

Any advice would highly appreciated. The car, although not brand new, is new to me. I am having the dealer take a look at this. Therefore, I wanted to try and educate myself the best I can in advance of their diagnosis.

The car is a 2015 (65) 430d Gran Coupe, Msport.

Thank you in advance for your support.

Morning Dan

Welcome to the Forum

Definitely not right and I would say needs urgent investigation, it could be a loose or failed track rod end, a failing/failed steering column joint (2 of them) or a rack issue.

How new is the MOT? that play much would be a fail I think a strong advisory at best. Check the MOT advisory list

Hi Dave,

Thanks for the welcome.

The MOT was completed on November 10th, with no advisory warnings.

I do have the car booked in to look at by a technician at the dealership. Due to the Christmas and New Year break the earliest they can look at it is January 11th.

I really appreciate your input and advice.

Many thanks,

Dan.
