Washers not always working

Hi everyone. I'm new here. I have a issue with my washers on my 2005 e60 530d. When I use my washers when I first set of in the morning to go to work they work fine, by the time I get to work which is a 20min drive the washers no longer work. I have found if I turn the car off and back on then the washers work again. I have been searching the internet for answers but I can't find anything. Please can anyone here help me. Many thanks

    Welcome to the Forum

    First why do you need to use the washers before you set off ? If it just to clear condensation the wipers will cope, or are you are clearing light frost as you drive the washer nozzles could be icing.

    When you run the washher's can you hear the pump running? There are fine mesh filters on the pump that can become clogged with a slimy sludge when the  washers have been topped up with fluid that doesn't have an anti bac content so check the filters
