2017 430d LED headlight beam adjustment for continental.
Morning Kevin I know that there was an adjustment lever for HID's but I thought I read that LED's had a Flat pattern that cant be adjusted. Does your Local BMW Dealer know more I wonder worth asking As an aside my Brother inlaw has a 5 series Estate and does many miles on the other side of the Channel and I don't recall him doing anything, I will have to ask the question Dave -

2017 430d LED headlight beam adjustment for continental.
Good evening all, looking at going to Belgium next week for a night away. Cant see anything in handbook (online or in I drive) regarding driving on the continent that is relevant. It mentions turning off Auto setting and adjust setting in Idrive “settings - lighting - headlights - headlight adaptation” however mine doesn’t have this option to select/change, not does it have adaptive LED lights, just LED’s. Had a look on the rear of the lamps, nothing obvious to swap over (have seen a lever on other models) Any ideas please? Worst case I’ll sling some beam deflectors on. -

4 Series Convertible - water collection in sills issue !
Hi Anne, Im so sorry if my reply/reaction to your question to me is so late (I have not been well and my attention to all emails has been sloppy to say the least !) Anyhow, my response is that you and I seem to be among the few who have had this problem (at least on Bimmer). It would seem that most people 'just get on with it' and never kick up a stink which means that those it does effect indignantly have little recourse or sway to effect an answer/remedy ! What I'm saying is that there are not enough 4 series convertible owners out there that are outspoken or willing to or have experienced this situation to make any difference, which is a shame for those it has effected. I dont think I can give this any more time now unless someone else wants to raise the issue and carry the flag as I am just a pawn and have no influence. Anyway, thank you for contributing and I hope you have no further issues with your car. Best regards, Julian -

MW F30 330E FLYWHEEL COMPATIBILITY
The solution is to also buy a starter motor from a G20 330e, the rest will fit without any problems. The cheapest solution is to buy a Sachs 2295 002 018 replacement dual-mass flywheel and then replace the starter motor with one from a G20 with the correct tooth spacing. The one from the F30 will not fit because it has a different number of teeth. -

ECU Testing & Repair Recommenadations Wilts Area
Morning Paul There are a few others but these guys are very quick (72hr turnaround) in most cases used them several times for ABS units and a couple of times for ECU repairs big advantage with ECU's FRM etc no recoding needed I have also used Cartronix in Surrey but they were quite expensive and slow, end product was great though (upgraded Radio unit in an E53) Good Luck Dave
