Hi all, swapping what I thought was a broken Front door carrier expecting to find the cable snapped, nope! But.....I have found this part “hanging around” by the lock mechanism, I’ve put a pound coin for size comparison. I have the Air Bag still connected due to the LPG Tank covering the Battery so being EXTRA careful! Any ideas? Thankyou!

    Part of the old door carrier. Have you got a new door carrier? I brought a flea bay door carrier it fitted OK but broke within a month, I brought one from BMW fitted still working 5 years on.

    Thanks Dave, I appreciate it’s something to door with the lock.......I have tried searching various sites for exploded views and none show this part. In the second photo it “almost” fits the shape but not quite. Might leave it off and see what happens.....no rush!

    Maybe a previous owner had changed the carrier and left that behind?

    Have you checked out www.pelicanparts.com it's an American site terrific how too's with pictures just the steering on the wrong side and they think diesel is lorry fuel.

    Hi again, yep studied Pelican and can not see the part. I’ve also looked at most, if not all YouTube video’s, none show this part! It looks like a “strengthening” part to me. We will see when I get out on the car again.
