I regularly do 100 mile plus journeys in my 330d 65 plate and have started to notice a slight vibration through the gas pedal. it is noticeable on short journeys of a few miles, but is tolerable.

However on a long journey the vibration is so annoying it leaves you with an aching right foot and pins and needles. It stays constant throughout the journey and doesn't get worse with speed.

Any ideas what could be causing it.

Morning Alan Welcome to the Forum

The throttle I believe is "fly by wire" so not connected to the engine directly, so you would think any vibration would be felt elsewhere as well. Do you use cruise control on long journeys so you can move your foot off the throttle.

Hi Dave thanks for the response. Yes use cruise control a lot so that is helping.

I've just had tyres checked this morning and they've found a bulge in the tyre wall of the front near side tyre, likely caused by kerbing at speed.

Having tyre replaced and will be speaking to wife who is likely culprit. Hopefully this may now fix problem, Ill let you know.

Cheers

Alan

Hi Alan that could well be the culprit, though may also have been caused by a pot hole we have a stretch of road near us which is like a plowed field.  One of our sons uses it regularly as his route to work, he is very fussy about his car (he is the one in the far corner of the car park so no one scratches it) he drove through a puddle which was masking a big pot hole caused damage to two tyres.
