Hi,

I've had problems with my 318i SE Year 2000, cutting out randomly and plugged a diagnostics tool which said Error Code P0335  Crankshaft Position Sensor “A” Circuit Malfunction. I cant find any videos out there showing how to repalce this part on the 318i SE 2000. Anyone out there able too guide me a little bit as to where it is ? Pictire of engine attached.

thanks,

ronan

Morning Ronan

Welcome to the Forum

I think it is at the back of the bottom pulley (crankshaft pulley) to be sure have a look at www.newtis.info this is a technical information site same information the Dealers use. You should find some help there.

Dave

I seem to recall it is actually on the left hand side rear of the block, below the knock sensor.  I'll see if I can find you a picture from when I rebuilt mine.

Found some, see attached.

It will probably be easier to get to it from underneath, going from memory, this was over five years ago now, so having to think hard to recall.
