330i folding metal roof problem

Hi, I have recently bought a nice 330i convertible which has a slight problem with the folding roof.

When operating the roof all works fine except when the boot comes down it judders and then closes. All has been lubricated that I can see but now just the same.

Any ideas?

Folding metal roof. My X5 doesn't even have a sun roof so I am the poor relation !! 

Seriously have a look at first www.realoem.com put the last 7 digits of your Vin into the search box it will give part numbers for if you have to buy spares. Then I would look at www.newtis.info for repair information, this is the same technical information used by BMW Dealers. I would also check www.pelicanparts.com its an American site but has some great how too's with pictures that may help.

      Knocking sound from front left side

      Knocking sound from front left side on my BMW X5 M50d first thought it might be a bush or bearing problem but had all replaced including bottom and top arms plus drive shaft but it's still there I think now it's a drive shaft problem because in slow traffic I get a clunking sound as if something is loose.

      Droning noise

      Hi Jock. Is the car 4 wheel drive? 4x4 centre bearing? that would be my first guess. does it make the noise when stationary?

      Droning noise

      Hi folks Got a 2014 X3 30D with 81000 on the clock. It has recently developed a droning noise most audible when I take my foot off the accelerator. It's not wildly loud. There's no grinding sound or anything like that. I've had the bearings checked on all wheels and they are fine. Any ideas please ?
