Hi does the cable on the door handle carrier have any adjustment as mine has stretched.

If not how do you remove the door handle carrier.

Have all the paneling removed just can't see any adjuster or work out how carrier is removed.

    X5 door handle carriers are a known weak point I have read that some of the Ebay replacements can fail quickly so an OEM part seems the best way if replacing.

    With my passenger door it wasn't the door handle carrier but the actual lock closing mechanism a faf to get at, they corrode due to water ingress. I managed to get plenty of penetrating fluid on the lock and work it until free then using a big syringe and a bit of nylon tube i got it greased. Touches wood ! no issues for the last 2 years
