hi after a complete overhaul of my old bmw e34 1994 .its come down to the vanos wearing out and no power till 4 grand ,i have bought a second hand one off ebay should be hear in 5 days ,the mobile mechanic has not phoned me back yet its been 2 times ive phoned him .

i mite have to do the job my self. has any one got any ideas to help me out =do i need to have the over heads cams  locked by some aluminum bracets that i have seen on youtube ? that is if you are striping the old vanos and replacing the rubbers ,

I believe the Vanos is a bit of a s*d to set up...and definitely worth using the special tools to set up the cams with.
