  1. hi every one just bought a 2001 BMW 530 diesel estate with 95 thousand miles,

with the last owner servicing it for 13 years ,every 10 thousand miles

It is in mint condition,Air con, full black leather 5 tires of a good make

As when i buy or my wife buy's  a new to us / me BMW i service it  just as well  i did not buy pollen filters as when it came to changing the air filter i had to remove part of the housing for pollen filter box,hay ho they were brand new, then the tricky bit was the air filter that runs along were on my petrol BMW's the rocker & coil packs and spark plugs go,it was a bit difficult to get the air filter casing back on ,and the air filter that came out was very clean,so much so that my friend the mechanic said it looks like its only been in there for a few months and i should keep it and put it back for the next time.

when it came to changing the fuel filter i was advised that it should be filled up with Diesel or it would have an air lock ,and when starting it up to rev it to the max for 5-8 minis to make sure it was all good

that was after the old oil and filter were changed

  6. could it be the vanos ,the seals leak and it causes no power till 4 grand, that's my problem ,the forem said it was the air flow meter ,if you un plug it the car should run fine ,but if its the vanos a second hand one check as the M52 engine from e39 fits ,or get a kit of new rubbers ,but you have to be good at dismantling and reassembling, mite need to look the double over head cams
  7. 1994 5 series BMW 520i1994 5 series BMW 520i I welded my E34 exhaust in the summer of 2015 I did have a local garage that cut the 4 bolts that held the approximately 3 meter 2 box exhaust forest garage in Leyton London used oxyasetalen as the bolts had been on the car since 1994 as I was a blacksmith & welder fabricator for 20+years it was just making the templates for the back box out of paper, the trouble was getting a sheet of clean new 2mm steel as I finished smithing in 2008 due to steel prices going thro the roof .when I phoned the steel company's they had gon out of business !! so the only thing was to use steel from a heavy duty gas barbeque covered in enamel by using the paper templates & tailors chalk marking out the shapes I cut the 2mm barbeque into the parts that I could bend and hammer into shape. I ground either side of the enamelled steel were I would be mig welding the pictures show what can be constructed I did this to my car because I could not find a pattern exhaust & to buy an exhaust from BMW was out of the question for me
