Hi. I bought my 04 320Ci SE convertible last weekend. Since buying it little electrical faults have made their way around the car. The rear window heaters didn't work, then the mirror adjuster, then the boot release, then the drivers side window. Now I'm getting intermittent orange warning lights for my DTS and brake distribution, with an occasional oil light too. Any thoughts? And does anyone know a good garage in the Kidderminster area please?

I would get your battery tested first as a failing one throws up all sorts of issues.

Has the car been parked outside a lot? Some damp may have got into the electrics somewhere. Sometimes pulling the fuses and connections and re-seating helps to clean off any oxidation on the contacts.

      Hi Asif Welcome to the Forum First check to find out where the smoke is coming from, once your sure then make a decision on whether you can (a) DIY or (b) pay a garage. If it is the Garage route then an Internet search for BMW Specialists (there is a Register of BMW Specialists) should bring up a couple at least who are not to far from you. Then talk to them about costs etc Good luck Dave

      650i VANOS failure

      Hi Tomy Welcome to the Forum When I rebuilt my E53 4.6is I rebuilt the Vanos system from memory the cost was around £65 for all seals and O rings which turned out to be Febi items So are the prices you have for a rebuild kit or a refurbed Vanos ? Dave

      Hi everyone, my BMW is due for a VANOS replacement and I’ve found two options with a big price gap: Febi Bilstein (265.19€) - https://onlydrive.pro/parts/camshaft...bilstein-46508 Maxgear (91.29€) - https://onlydrive.pro/parts/gear-spr...axgear-54-1505 Has anyone here used either of these? How do they compare in terms of durability, fitment, and noise after installation? Is the premium for Febi Bilstein worth it, or does Maxgear hold up fine in real-world use?

      Hi there all. I recently bought a bmw x1 xdrive 2014. There is smoke entering through the heater vents. Looking online ppl suggested replacing head cover and gasket. Has anyone done it? Is there anyone in Birmingham who can do it? Thank you

      2017 430d LED headlight beam adjustment for continental.

      Thanks for reply. It’s similar to what I’ve read elsewhere then. I parked the car facing a wall, not sure if it’s just me, but there’s a slight kick in the beam pattern towards the nearside. Think I’ll chance it. Many other people claim they don’t bother with any beam deflectors.
