Battery Replacement

Hi guys, im having serious problems with my 4 week old 320i e90.

4
days after i bought the car it kept complaining of batterly charge too
low warning randomly and twice now ive come out to it being dead and
have had to jump start it.

Im looking at buying a battery UK but
have read i need to register it, the plan is to buy a varta battery like
it is now but the one in my car at the moment is 70ah and 12 volts, the
only batteries i can find is 12v and 74ah for around 70 quid and they
say they will fit.

I know the cars have the intelligent battery
system on them but keep reading conflicting information from it being as
simple as a straight swap, to keep a battery charge connected while
doing the swap, it needs coding and registering if it isnt the same
ampage and voltage etc.

Ive read that if its the same voltage and
ampage something called BMW logger can be used with a cable, can ayone
confirm this for me at all. Will i need to do code it as well if the
batter is slightly different eg 70ah to 74ah ?

would appreciate any help in the matter as ic ould really do with ordering the battery and cable today if posible

Thanks for the reply

Yeah i did mate they both said they had batteries that fit, i said do they need registering or coding or are they the same spec eg 70ah

Both looked at me puzzled, so either all the research ive been doing is wrong or they havent got a clue !
