Pdc Parking Sensors Problem

There are many posts about problems with parking sensors but none seem to be the same as mine!

I have a 54reg X5 3.0i Sport with sat nav, analogue TV :-( & CD changer etc.

The problem is that the parking sensors work intermittently, when not working there is a continuous beep heard from the front alarm but the light on the PDC button is always steady, it never flashes or blinks.

I have listened to all sensors when activated and they all appear to click, albeit the front two corner ones are slightly quieter than the rest.

Does anyone know how to sort this out so they work consistently again please?

    Only way to get to the root of the problem is to get it put on a diagnostic and find out for sure where the fault or faults are.
