HI all

I have had my 2001 x5 for about a month it is a 4.4 M sport with lpg

yesterday while driving home the engine light came on. this morning the light

is still on and it seemed to be stuttering and misfiring until warm then goes ok again

but engine light still on any ideas please the car is lovely

Welcome my first X5 was a 4.4 running LPG loved it. When you brought the car did it come with a service schedule for the LPG? The system should be serviced once a year. You really need dedicated BMW diagnostics they will take a lot of the guess work out.

I take it the car runs well and engine temps are OK. My 4.4 threw up a similar fault it turned out to be a faulty MAP sensor I would get the codes read by a BMW specialist or someone with autologic. I purchased a 1.4.0 scanner and software from flebay and loaded it onto an old laptop I had Brilliant it lets yo do so much and will help you with things like this.

Good Luck
