Something Rather Odd Going On?

Featured Replies

Gents, I've never experienced anything like this before at all, what do you think?

My e46 328 Ci runs absolutely fine most of the time, but a couple of days before xmas a couple of times when I accelerated fairly firmly, she felt almost as if she was either developing a very slight misfire OR perhaps clutch slipping, and the Traction Control light flashes for a couple of seconds. Has happened a couple of times each day since. I DON'T think its the clutch - I can stall her quite easily still - what else could it possibly be guys? Something happening with the diff? Any ideas?

I've done about 400 miles since it first happened, and it doesn't seem to be becoming any worse or more frequent.

ABS sensors/stub-rings faulty ?? Try scrubbing the area on all four corners to clear excess dirt/rust... cost nowt too!

Thanks, Dabsy, will do.

If you find a sensor has been touching a rust spot and marked the end of it take it off and fit a small washer and then refit, the ideal thing that fits a treat is an earth connector with the plastic sniped off and it will work just fine,

Regards

Steve

Could it just be a slippery section of road and your getting slight wheel spin
