Hi I am on my second bmw in a year now, started with a lowly 316 coupe 1995 in exceptional condition with everything present and working.

Now I have a 1998 740i E38 nice V8 with 4.4 lts of pure fuel guzzling ( 14 mpg ).

This has

Tv not digital but I have hooked it up to a reversing camera.

DSP sound system

Comfort seats

Electric blind

DSC ( I'm working on this )

Dual climate control

Auto dimming mirrors

Cd Changer ( not showing on screen yet )

M sport steering wheel

What have I done

2 new front tyres

New battery

Drivers door mirror with lcd glass

New mud flap

2 exhaust tips so they can be seen

What it needs

Wheels are in need of a shot blast and powder coating

Seat electrics plastic bit drivers side

Camera wired to ignition

Rear cup holder ( melted ? )

Drives like a dream and comfortable which is why I bought it, and I needed an automatic. Dog not impressed puked up twice 😡 but comfy quiet and pure leisure

      Absolutely correct my E53 runs 9.5 x 20 Front and 10.5 x 20 Rear and the E70 is as yo say 10 x 20 Front 11 x 20 Rear. Not really necessary on a 4x4 but BMW Designers like the looks 🤣🤣 ( and so do I) Hope you found what you needed Dave

      Front windscreen washers

      Morning Donna Has the pump always been like this or has it come on over time? I think I would check the voltage at the Pump connectors so you can compare front and rear perhaps swap the connectors. If the pump action changes when the connector is swapped then the wiring needs checking and the connector needs cleaning with a good electrical contact cleaner. Dave

      Front windscreen washers

      Hi Dave. In my opinion the squirt is weak, it only reached about a third of the way up the windscreen. The hose has been completely changed from the pump to the first jet, tank and filters have been removed and fully cleaned. It works but weak when the car is not running, but as soon as i start the car the pump works for about 3 seconds before stopping then nothing. The rear is working fine, it's just the fronts.

      great info! 5 X 120 pattern. I believe the x5 uses 10" front and 11" rear?
