can anyone please advise me.. my 51 plate mini cooper brake lights come on when i turn off the ignition. they stay on for 7minutes then go off. can anyone tell me why this is happening. i have changed the brake light switch and the light stork but its still doing it. please help. many thanks in advance.

    Thats a wierd one... The only time I came across this was a poorly rewired back-end where scotch-locks were in abundance and the reverse lights were jumped into the door sensor/security line !!

    IMHO the only reason a live would be required after keys-out situation is the Alarm/Security arming itself !! Or even with some cars where the lights stay on to show you home lol

    all sorted. it was the front spot lights. as soon as i disconnectrd them all was good. thanks for your help.
