Hi Im new to the forum and to BMWs and I'm wanting a custom stainless exhaust but was wondering what this is at the rear on drivers side? can it me removed? its because if it wasn't there there would be more room to run a twin exit exhaust 1 either

side.

thanks for any help

Have you tried www.etk.cc?

Enter last seven of chassis number and you can then view all parts for your vehicle

Are there any pipes/cables attached?

Post another pic from directly under the item, at this time I could only suggest fuel-filter or even suspension balancer but without seeing its connections I'm guessing !

i have just looked on www.etk.cc (thanks for the link) and it seems to be an Activated Charcoal Filter with vent pipe, i know on my Nissan Skyline R33 we could remove the charcoal filter but not sure if ths is possible on the BMW?

Has anyone removed this or moved it somewhere else?

Thanks David

Do it lol
