Hi

This is my first post as I have just signed in. Please bear with me if I am not doing this correctly.

I have a 2007 X5 3.0D. My Cigarette lighter socket nor the additional two Auxiliary power sockets work. I have tried checking these with( working) phone chargers etc. I have also checked fuses which are fine ( In the front as well as in the back).

I am quite baffled by this. Can anyone please help?

I will really appreciate it.

Thanks

Have you checked fuse 54 20 amp it is hidden behind the fuse box in the glove box and from what I been told a real mission to reach.

You can check www.realoem.com put the last 7 digits of your chassis number in, Good Luck

Hi Greydog

Thanks for the quick reply. I appreciate it.

I will check these fuses and give a feedback. There is a slight problem- I do have a CD changer in my glove box

But will try and access.

Thanks again

Hi Greydog

I have checked the 20 Amp fuse under the glove box. You are right, it does need some doing to reach there. 3 screws to remove and then on green to twist.

All 20 amp fuses were good. One "118" in the boot was missing and I replaced it but did not produce any result. Interestingly all three power sockets ( 1 cig lighter and 2 Aux power outlets) are not working. Is there one master fuse for this ? I thought 118 was the one but did not help.

I am enclosing the fuse placement diagram I have in my car.

Any suggestions please?

Thanks once again for reading

From what I understand yes Cig lighters and power outlets are all linked. You need a wiring diagram to be able to check, I would guess that there has to be a relay in the mix somewhere. Have you checked the fuse/relay box in the engine bay? Passenger side up by the windscreen.

I haven't looked at realoem to see if there is any help there (its helped me a couple of times) or search for wiring diagrams on the net.

One thought my Nav stopped working (no power) I checked and cleaned all the normal things connections and fuses no joy I thought of replacement then as last try I changed the fuse all back to normal?? The fuse I removed tested OK weird.
