I am looking at buying a BMW X5, I have a budget of 40k, can someone tell me what the difference between a SE and a Msport is please?

I am looking to but a Alpine white with 20" wheels, black leather trim, (no wood)

Can´t help you with SE and Msport, but if you go into black leather trim, don´t forget to order aktive ventilation for your seats. Costs a bit, but is worth plenty.

i know someone who has a sport and they wished they had got the se because of the ride quality is very harsh in the sport model

I just recently got pretty much tha car u are after. The SE is for Special Equipment i think but does not have the flared arches and bodykit of the M's. My M Sport does not have heated seats or folding mirrors which i reall miss from my previous 4x4s. Mine has 19s on it but i find the ride really nice but each to their own on that.
