Hello All.i'm Looking To Purchase A 1Series Convertable.advise Would Be Great

Featured Replies

Hello there,my first post on here.I'm looking to purchase a 1 series convertable (E88) for the Mrs.Don't know to much about them really so if anyone can offer any help/advise that would be brilliant.

I'm looking for a petrol 118 (143 bhp)or 120 (170 bhp) model with leather, heated seats, parking sensors and xenon lights.Would like to know from owners what is the best one of the two to own and why.

Not much in fuel economy between the 2 models really (diesel is a no no as the mrs does shortish journeys,so diesel isn't gonna be any use really).

I would also like to know of any common faults for the convertable model including any electric roof related issues.Any help would be great.

Thanks.Lee.

I'm sorry, thought you were looking to buy. My wife has owned 3 E88's and has never had a problem. Have to confess fuel economy has never been an important issue. I previously owned 2 E82's both 120d and was happy with the 45/50 mpg.
