Hello Richard :P And welcome to the club!

I think it could be the passenger seat mat. Instead of emptying your wallet at BMW, most people tend to get a bypass module off ebay. I think you just plug it in and use a code reader to erase the error.

I had the same issue once on an E60 model & it was exactly what the above poster said ^

the way I got it dealt with was disarm & deactivate it from a software programme called ncs expert

could mostly likely be your problem :rolleyes:
