Guys, any advice on probably cause of just one speaker operation. Nothing from the drivers door, rear or tweeters. I've had someone look at the drivers side and they made a temp connection with another speaker but no joy. Is it likely to be a faulty head unit?

i would say likely to be a faulty hu.have you tried adjusting the balance?

Hi Martin, yes, tried front and rear fades etc but nothing but the left door speaker works. If it is the hu are they easy to change out for another aftermarket unit. Don't really want to or can afford a repellent OEM unit. Any suggestions on brand and what to look for and stay clear of.

Standard DIN connectors at rear of HU matey ;)

i changed my hu quite easily.you just need the right fascia adapter and the wiring harness that plugs into the wiring loom of the car then into your new head unit.its a piece of p155 :P

what are you after out of your new hu?i wanted to upgrade mine and buy one that has alot of adjustment because i want to upgrade all of the speakers and put a sub in my boot.if you just want something half decent i would go for either a sony.alpine.jvc or kenwood one.its amazing how much better the oem speakers sound when the hu is changed.try and get one with 45 to 50 watt rms
