Hi, so my e46 has very poor radio reception. The previous owner put a pioneer iPod head unit in so I took it out today to check the Ariel was plugged in and it was..but wat I noticed was another a cable not plugged in an no where for it to go..a quick trip to the local Audi shop I was told it is the power for the Ariel antenna and has no place to go on a aftermarket head unit..first off is this correct and secondly is there an adaptor or anything u can get for it to work?

You can get a specific DIN patch-adaptor for the Pioneer to connect to the BMW loom ;)

Any Ideas where I can get this?

Halfrauds (Halfords) or any motoring/audio shop...

Is it just the aerial adaptor?

To be brutally honest, you need to remove and have a butchers behind there, if the wiring is shagged then so are you !!
