My head light doesn't always come on, took it to bmw an they said its the ignition pack for the light, they want to charge me 90 pound just to have a look, has any1 had this problem with there lights

Ballast pack or LCM issue... Have a go at checking the wiring and fuses etc. Sometimes a dodgy or dry connection would cause it too, especially if its intermittant ;)

Thanks to the guys tha replied to my post, the guys at bmw say I shouldn't attempt to change bulbs or the pack myself cause it could kill me, personally myself I thought he was joking but looking at the the light it says 25.000 volts running to it, I'm by no means a mechanic, what do I do ?

Lol, now that makes sense, thank you :)

BMW's rely heavily on the battery, so, bear this in mind when you do ANY work on it... Disconnect it !

When things start going funny, blame the battery first, then sensors or anything else !!!

Issues start popping up when the battery gets a bit tired :wacko:
