Hi there

Looking for some advice from you guys.

My mother is bringing her French registered Lhd Z3 back to the UK now that she lives here in the UK.

In order to register it here in the UK she needs to get the speedo into mph from kph and also change the rear light light cluster to incorporate a fog light.

Does anyone know of a supplier that will over sticker the speedo with mph markings or do we have to find and fit a new mph speedo cluster?

With regard to the light, can we just buy one on eBay and get it fitted?

Your help will be appreciated

the light i am sure you can do yourself.as for the clocks, arent they ok staying at kph? i am pretty sure that they will be ok unchanged???

The headlights/lenses will need changing too !

Use a bolt-on fog-light for the test.

Uk clocks have both MPH and KPH so maybe a breakers would easily match a dial for you ;)

The French don't seem to go out in foggy conditions then... Maybe scared they'll run over their lunch! :P

Hi there, I have just bought my Dad's RHD Z3 and have taken it to Dordogne, France where I live. I need lhd headlights to pass controle technique (French MOT) here in France and I am having a devil of a job finding second hand headlights. Would you be interested in swapping you Mothers for mine? I have a 1999 Z3 and can send pictures of the units if you would like. It might save us both some money.

Best regards,

Craig

I have just imported a 2001 Z3 from the US which already had the mile and Km markings, but I needed to change the headlights and have foglights fitted which inlcudes an illuminated switched. This was fitted neatly to the right of the steering wheel and just below the dashboard. It was not accepable with a left hand car to fit light deflectors to satisfy the MOT. I had it all fitted by my local BMW garage Ridgeways who did a great job. The cost was almost £3k. I have the detailed invoices which I could scan and send to you if you wished.
