Best I get out of my 2001 x5 3.0D auto IS 24 around the doors, 28-30 on motorways. I was thinking on removing the egr & bypassing it. Would that make any difference to the consumption?.

Had ago at fitting a ribbon to mine & broke the new ribbon not to mention the pain it was stripping the clocks ( made so you can't take them apart) In the end I sent the instiment pod to AKSeedo (08432893701) they are in Sterling. It only took 3 days from posting & getting back. Cost £60. Didn't pay a penny apart from postage to them, until I got my pod back & was happy with the repair. What oil is used on my 2001 x5. 3.0 diesel auto. I have what looks like a oily covered rear diff. I am going to clean it of top it up if it requires. Look to see where the leak is from . Does my x5 have a limited slip diff? Regards Ray

I have just fitted a new oil breather. I have fitted the new vortex one In place of the toilet roll type that was fitted. I fitted separated votex part by just dropping it into the hole in the manifold then fitting the housing part over the top and bolting down. Now just thinking about it,should I have used part of the old filter housing to hold the vortex part into the new housing I got. As there was nothing with the new breather to hold the two parts together. I would appreciate some quick advise incase I have to take it apart before any damage may accure. Hi. My 2001 x5 does not have angel eyes, but it does have zenon lights. Is there a kit I can fit onto my lights so I can have the angel light & still keep my zenon lights.
