Welcome back kind sir! Jap crap thats ya problem,do we have any bar staff worth hitting on????
  7. If one is for sale localish to me I am happy to take a look.Whats the budget? I will keep my eyes open
  8. Very easy to service, snd the 24v straight 6 is a tried and tested engine and is diy friendly. 66 gt6 is a very very pretty car
  9. Honestly i would trust mine to go around the world!brilliant cars
  10. Its below 3 degrees outside!
  11. Get the correct side wheels on and that will help ( and to be fair legally they should all be the same size on the axle) Personally I would clean it off but i accept you wont get it all!
  12. Oh this is my zone! My E39 523 had a Quaife fitted just over 200,000 miles ago and i cannot praise it enough. It transformed the drive and it feels much much better...........sadly now the diff is worth more than the car! on the plus side turning right out of a T junction is great fun!
  13. Very good service(although I can understand why you were annoyed) At a guess they will be claiming back from the warranty company, but they fear it will be a struggle so have just paid for the repairs to keep the customer happy and will have the battle out of sight. I must say the BMW dealer in Northampton and the Isle Of Man are fantastic, I honestly cannot praise them enough
  14. you can do it(but its a pig!) Have you got any photos of the car so i can mark on it the areas which will need a tug/drill?
  15. 100%, I can be a smug git ownering both now it seems. plus the m20 is a cracking sound
  16. I cant honestly say the E30 is much more of a drivers car than the E46
  17. My thoughts Exactly, New cars whilst they are a nice place to be you cannot beat the sound and the drive of a good "old" petrol engine!Along with steering that feels like it is connected and gives you positive feedback. E30 for me
  18. I still couldnt bring myself to take a angle grinder to a brand new car and fit a new body to it. Just seems a bit wrong!
  19. Yes, You need to remove the swirl flaps(google away). If these fail it can cause a lot of damage also, but this is a cheap mod and can be done in a afternoon. I haven`t heard of different Diesel engines suffering from Cam chain problems(but I may be wrong) However i cannot stress how robust these engines are, they are one of the best Diesels on the market. Go on ebay and type in BMW spares or repair, then go type in Vectra or Mondeo Spares or repair, Not many knackered Diesels BMWs around!
  20. Agreed my M52 5 series does 38mpg on the motorway and mid twentys around town. remember the engine isnt really working that hard at all
  21. If I am Correct the 633 is on the E12 platform, Think i need some photos as i Have played with the early braking systems for a while! post up some photos of the unit and parts and we will get it sussed
  22. Very Very NICE!, E36 verts are soooooooooo cheap at the moment
  23. Such a stunning looking car! Have you seen the new Zagato z4? if not google it
