  1. Hi All, Just a big thank you for the really warm comments and welcomes, and a note....5w40 fully synthetic engine oil, Triple QX 5 Litres is £17.10 on Ebay Including delivery by Yodel couriers at the moment, it was silghtly cheaper than the quote I got from the main dealer = £87.43 + P & P for 4 Litres of Castrol fully snythetic oil. I am sure there is a slight difference in the quality, but as I change my oil every 9,000k I am sure it will be just fine, also a friend with a garage swears by this QX stuff and passes on the savings to his customers. He uses it in his M3, he changes his oil every 4,500k, but then he does drive it like he stole it Lol. The seller is "carpartsaver" it was delivered to my door 28 hours after paying for it and that included a sunday.
  2. Hi All, Just bought a 318i convertible for the summer. I will change all the filters, oils, fluids, plugs and also the water pump and thermostat, while i`m at it. I will replace any hoses and belts that need changing or I may just bite the bullit and change them all. As for the rest of the car, it is mint. 2 owners and only 80,000 miles on a 16 year old car, full main dealer service history and all recipts.....the only things it has had in its life are...now on its 3rd set of tyres (Pirelli P6000) , 2nd set of wipers and a boot catch. Last owner had a complete set of powerflex bushes & mounts fitted, this was before any of the original ones had worn out and the exhaust was replaced a year ago. Original hood - unfaded with perfect stitching and even has the original rear window, which is still clear and unmarked, must be a record!! Full beige leather and plastic walnut interior, in excellent condition, with only slight wear on the egde of the drivers seat, so leather food and polish has been ordered. It has got two tiny chips where the seatbelt was shut in the drivers door, one very small 2mm stone chip on the edge of the bonnet. Thats it!!! One very clean well looked after BMW. Oh! a bit of plastic walnut trim needs to be put back on the glovebox, found it under the passenger seat.
