  1. Yes mate! all working good, and even better he had just given the car a clean up and not a spot of the wet stuff anywhere inside! ;o) Well happy with her! after looking at a samoa blue one in edgeware the day before with the optional hardtop this baby leaves the samoa blue one standing! and for the same £ ! Couldnt believe how clean the rims were! lol drives perfect, clutch as sweet as, and not a sign of any rust either. A couple of dinks, but u have to look for them to be honest, and for a 14yr old motor shes in top nik. Thanks for the welcome everyone!
  2. Unable to as tax gets sent to last owners address, not mine, so I wouldn't want to chance it. I 'll just be patient for RM. Cheers guys ;o)
  3. Put deposit on her tonight. Just waiting for new insurance docs to come through so I can get tax, so wont be too long till she comes home but im now an 'official' member lol.
  4. Hi Mart, Many thanks mate, I really didnt want to go about a 2 ltr as 95% of my driving is urban, and I dont want to be forever filling it with jungle juice. I know the 318's are slow as they are such heavy cars, so I wondered if the 2 ltr would be any better if if it was refined anymore. And the fact I need to curb my enthusiam with my right foot too! lol Im looking at an E36 mate. I now have a choice of two (once the Mondeo has been sold) Monrteal Blue 318 cab, with 100k and elctric roof or Boston Green 2.0i cab with 86k FSH loads of paperwork, and Manual roof. decisions decisions lol Many Thanks for your help! Best Regards Steve
  5. Hi everyone I really hope im not being a pain in the ##### with all these questions etc, but after what that bloke said to me about overheating / not overheating ive been put off of that one, HOWEVER!.......... Last night while scouring the pages of a certain auction site i came across a boston green 320 cabbie with manual roof, black leathers, fsh, and only 87k on the clock! Are there any benefits of the 320 compared to the 318's? and is the tax more on a 320? im more keen on the manual roof to prevent any electrical problems which i know can be problematic on these motors now that theyre getting on a bit. I apologise for all the questions, but I really wanna get to know what to look for. Many thanks Steve
  6. Right......... Ive just got a reply back from the bloke. He said that it does not have any over heating issues. ( My fault for not listening properly) Thanks guy's! I seriously appreciate your help! Best Regards Steve

  8. Hi guy's I've been on the phone this evening to somone who's selling an e36 cabby which I may look at buying from him. However when I was talking to him on the phone he was giving me all the info about the car etc, and then said " It's absolutely mint, no rust or anything, the engine is fine, no problems etc just may need to look out for overheating which is a common problem with these cars" Is this true? is this a common issue? is there anything that can be done to prevent overheating etc? If anyone could help I would be most grateful Many Thanks! Steve
  9. lol To be fair the blue oval has done me very well, and I can't knock it! More space than I dont know what, so it's been ideal for the family, but now our eldest is just about to take her test and she will be getting her own little mota which will leave enough for me, the mrs, and our younger one. ;o) Seen one that is identical to my old one and it's local. Just need to rid of mine now and QUICK! ;O)
  10. It was! lol. just trying to find another one after missing her too much lol.
  11. Cheers Daz! Need to sell the blue oval forst mate , but here's a pic of my old one to tie you over lol..... Cheers! Steve
  12. Erro! Currently trying to sell me Mondeo for a 318 Convertable. I want a 318 to keep the tax and insurance low, as well as fuel consumption. Is there anyone here that could tell me what to look out for when going to look at them? I was looking at a lovely metallic grey/silver which looked lovely and the bloke seems really honest on the phone, but the milage is puttin me off (190k!) Ive seen a silver one too, and there's a standard blue one in lovely condition about 10 miles away from me. Really need to sell the mondeo quick though. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Many Thanks Steve
  13. Hi Everyone! Just joined, and thought i'd say hello. ;o) Currently owning a.....(ahem) mk3 Mondeo which im currently trying to sell. The reason is that I want to go back in time and get another E36 convertable (318 manual). I had one a couple of years ago, but It was an automatic, and I sold it to put the money toward a fantastic engagement. Now the time has come to get another. As yet I havent looked through all the forums, but if there are any pointers anyone could help me with regarding what to look for when I go to look at any I would be most grateful! Many Thanks! Best Regards Steve
