  1. hmmmmm, it is kinda that sort of smell i suppose :(

whats the lifespan of a cat then? and do you know where i can get a cat from? don't want a second hand one, i've checked ebay etc and no luck there. will it do any damage to the actual engine if i drive it like this? (assuming its a fauly cat).

sorry for all the questions dabs, i just wanna make sure bud  :D

  2. thanks dabsy, well, i personally think it sounds a little louder than some other m3's, especially when i put my foot down. what kinda smell would it give out if it was the cat? i just really can't describe what mines giving out

i don't have any lights on or anything. i need to find a bmw specialist near me really as it ain't going to any main dealer at those prices

  3. hi, i might be worrying about nothing but.....well i don't start my m3 for a while but when i do i get a lot of white smoke/vapour and a smell, i can't really describe the smell tbh. i have checked the oil(fine), i've checked the coolant level(fine). any ideas? or is it just a combination of condensation built up in the pipes and cold weather??? cheers :D

  4. hi, had my 330d sport done by Celtic Tuning, well worth the money for the extra fuel economy; now got a 2003 M3.............27mpg ouch! mega fun though.

 you must be using the motorway a fair bit, i'm seeing about 17mpg in mine (around town and on the odd a road). thinking of getting a remap myself actually and was wondering what sort of mpg gain i would see! anyone done it on an m3?

  5. i have more questions, would i have all bolts and screws from my old (non armrest 1) to fit the armrest and console that I've bought as i didn't recieve any with it

i just don't want to take out the old one if i don't have what i need to fit the new one. cheers :D

  6. Hi on some these screws are covered with flush plastic plugs pop them out screws should be behind them

well i recieved it in 2 parts (console and then the actual arm rest separately) and it has metal clips attached to the bottom plastic of the armrest part as if screws would go, but no screws

is it easy to take out the centre console? and do i have to disconnect the battery as it has the hazard switch and door locks buttons on? ta :)

  7. hi all, i have just received my centre armrest today B) and now i have absolutely no clue how to fit it. it came with the proper centre console to mount it on, it doesn't seem to have 2 little screws that goes from the bottom of the armrest part to the underneath part of the console (if you know what i mean!). any help will be much appreciated as i really want to get it fitted this weekend. ;) :D

  8. yeah, your right mart, it was nippy and i managed to get it up to 155mph (speedo reading) with 4 people in there ;)

but like you said it doesn't touch the m3 really, different ball game all together, and it's my first rwd car which was fun when it tries to kick out

oh, by the way i do not condone speeding on public roads :D

  9. Doesnt effect Insurance at all, easy peasy to buy and change and yes M3 plate on an M3 would increase the value (sometimes) but most people take them back off when selling.IMO its best to get a personal reg that has something directly to do with yourself ie initials, birthday etc, then you can take it from car to car :)

true, i did try to find an "m3" one then my initials after it but no luck as yet :(

if anyone finds it i'll give em a tenner :D

    m3 ejp
