4.4Is Or 4,8Is
I bought a 4.8is a few months ago and it has been a great car with absolutely bags of power. I've had BMWs for 20 years now and this is the best one I've had.In the past I've had Alpinas (4.6 b10v8 and a C2 2.7) 540 estate,a couple of shark nosed 635s and a few 3 series. They cost a bit more than your average X5 to buy but I'm sure it would be worth it-happy hunting!

Which Tyres
Bought a set of Michelin Latitude Diamaris-according to Blackcircles they are the only ones that BMW recommend. Cost me £1000--the front and back are the same price through Blackcircles at the moment-2 weeks ago the rears were about £50 a tyre dearer!!!!

Computer Language

Computer Language
I've recently bought an X5 4.8is and the computer is in FRENCH ! Sacre blue !! Instead of saying Hour it says "Heure" etc. I've looked through the booklet on the computer and it says that I should be able to change the language--but I cannot find it--there does not seem to be a heading for it. Anyone got any ideas????

Hi From Sunny Glasgow
Hi I've recently bought an X5 4.8is (what a beast!) and am just waiting on getting the v5 so that I can put my cherished number on it. I recently sold my E39 Alpina B10v8 (sad day) because I was having difficulty getting in and out of it (must be getting old!) but I have been keen on BMW's for 20 years now, having owned several E30s including a very nice C2 2.7 Alpina (automatic) and a beautiful 325 Touring, a couple of e24 635s (one good the other rubbish) and an e39 540 Touring. Hope to get to some meetings in Scotland sometime.
